Lady Rogue (Amelia) on point as a young dog.
Mickey - taking the edge at 20 m.p.h. when she pivots 150 degrees into the wind and freezes 200 yards to the front. We walk up - take pictures - and flush the pheasant from 30 ft. in front. You just have to love it!!
This stylish young dog is Vindalbakken's Prairie Boy a.k.a. Tobin from Candy Man X Mickey. He is owned by Peter and June Spenser of Winnipeg
It's not often we take time to get photos at the end of the day. This one is from 1996. The hunters are Dan Listoe SR, Colleen Listoe, Evan Listoe, Scott Listoe and Danny JR (front). The dogs are Mickey, Thunder, and Amelia.
This is Jayhawkers Prairie Thunder, whom I campaigned to the Alberta/Sask. Derby Dog of the Year in 1995.
Christmas 1997. PT, Lightning and Mickey relaxing in the house with their present.
Lightning providing the perfect finish to a long day pheasant hunting.
Finally another hunting picture. Date - Oct. 12, 1999. The people are myself, my brother Evan and my wife Colleen. The dogs are Rock, PT, Mickey and Lightning. We shot Sharptail over points from all four dogs that day.
Lightning wins her first Best of Breed.
A real highlight for us - Rock wins a Group Third, and finishes her CKC Championship.
There is never enough light because by the time we think about taking pics the light is fading fast. We had a good time this day in late Oct. 2000, found some birds and worked a few dogs. Beautiful weather, good company, eager dogs - all around fun!!
Sept. 2002 Cooling the dogs Lightning and Mickey on a hot afternoon in the field.
