To look at Slammer is to know why the Airedale is King of the Terriers. He is well boned and muscular He moves with a fluid grace. He is good natured and others have refered to him as a true gentlemen. Ch Tartan Scottshire Super Glide aka Slammer has a name drawn from the exhuberance which he brings to all that he does. He was bred in Houston Texas by M J Marquis F Gordon,T Pynckel & C Scott He came to Pennsylvania at the age of 12 months of age.

To become a champion a dog must accumlate 15 points. These points must include two Major wins. Seen here is the second of three majors which Slammer won.

As a Champion Slammer is eligible to be shown at the highest level of competition. He competes for Best of Breed and then goes on to compete against the other Terrier Breed winners in the Terrier Group. He is pictured here with handler, Michael Kemp, receiving a Group Placement.

Recognition Of Excellence ![]()
Sometimes a Champion wins something special. This was the case for Slammer at the Hatboro show which is part of the prestigious "Montgomery Weekend." He received An Award of Merit. Slammer finshed 2005 as the number 2 Airedale in Breed points for the year This earned him an invitation to the prestigious Westminster Kennel Club Show.
