At four weeks old, we thought she might be something special.

At one year old, she is showing the promise that we always saw in her. With her sire's show off, look at me attitude and her dam's quiet, sweet personality, we couldn't have asked for more.

Our First Specialty Win!!!
We came to the 2000 National Specialty with hopes of just placing in the classes. We thought our grey bitch Lacey would be the one to win, not Mulan. She had never been to training class, wouldn't hold her stack at home and she wouldn't get away from my knee at the Chicagoland Specialty. But when we stepped into the ring, it was like she was born to it. We placed third in our first show from the Bred By Exhibitor class. But the Regional Specialty before Nationals was her day to shine---no thanks to her mom!! We were late to the ring, lost our armband and then when Mr. Heitzman said his Winners Bitch was his Bred By bitch, I just stood there waiting for him to read an armband number!!! We think she's appropriately named. That week was nothing but Magic and I was only along for the ride. Mulan did it all herself!!
