I'VE QUIT COMMERCIAL FOOD!
I want the best for my Miniature Pinschers and I know you feel the same way. That’s why I want to take a moment to mention the a recent tragic situation. In 2005 more than 100 dogs nationwide died as a result of eating contaminated pet food from a well-known manufacturer. Unfortunately, the toxin comes from a fungus found on corn and other crops and can cause severe liver damage in pets. And the Winnipeg Free Press reported yet another incident in connection with yet another dog food on Mar 21. Fortunately, neither was the brand I was using. But the brand I was using was still a commercial food & none of them offer any guarantees that their product couldn't be next to hit the news......too late for alot of dogs.

This incident certainly got me thinking, researching & talking to other breeders.
And I am happy to say I found it! A complete product line of healthy dog & cat foods, treats & supplements that DO NOT CONTAIN CORN OR WHEAT. (I, for one, am NOT going to put any of MY kids health at risk)

Life's Abundance is the dog food that I'm using. Check out their site using the link below. It will give you the opportunity to compare your brand with theirs. When I did that I was sold. You won't find it in stores. They have a great Auto-ship program (which also save $$ especially if you order more than one bag.) Serving size for a 3-10lb dog is 1/4 to 2/3 cup which 64-48 servings. So an 8lb bag is going to feed you Min Pin over a month. I recommend, to save shipping to order at least 2 bags at a time. They're located in Florida. Shipping is based on your zipcode.
