ANNIE
NIZHONI'S LITTLE ORPHAN ANNIE is hardly an orphan but with that red hair it seemed like a perfect name..... Annie is a beautiful red stag. THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN RED STAG & RED: Reds do not have the tan or rust markings. Red stag is a very deep red which is what we get most of the time when one parent is black and the other red. Stag reds are born with an intermingling of black hair. As they mature what you see is a deep rich red coat. Clear reds are beautiful too...they are generally lighter than a stag and referred to as"clear" red. It can be rather confusing to determine because reds can be very light to very dark in color. The black hair is the determination. Annie was born March 9, 2004. She is constantly on the go. ..won't hardly sit still long enough for a picture. Typical Min Pin. Annie was bred to Trucker & is due the middle of December.

RAIN
VH CAMBRIAN SINGIN' IN THE RAIN...I sometimes tell people when talking boys vs girls that they don't call them bitches for nothin! Rain is the extreme contradiction to this "rule". She is the most laid back girl you would meet. She was born in March of '04 close to Annie's birthday so as pups they've had each other to bond to. Altho devoted to their human families, Min Pins really like the company of other canines to play with. Rain was an only child. Her Daddy is a beautiful, red stag who had won points towards his championship, but broke a front tooth which abruptly ended his show career. .I named her after Rain Pryor, Richard Pryors very beautiful daughter. Thought her name was so pretty and unusual.

SEDONA
NIZHONI'S RED ROCKS OF SEDONA". What a sweety she is. She was born on 4-17-05. She loves to play with Olivia. I think it's because she can get away without my little blind girl finding her real quick. Actually she just loves to play. She gets into everything and on everything. Here she is at 5 mos Both of Sedona's grandparents are Champions and it certainly shows in her. Sedona has natural standing ears. Sedona was bred to Raymond and is due the middle of December. ON THE SUBJECT OF TAIL DOCKING & EAR CROPPING In the beginning all my Min Pins ears were cropped. It was a given. But age has mellowed me out & the natural ears are growing on me....and Sedona. I have an email friend who lives in Dublin, Ireland. She has been preparing herself to become one of those responsible? Min Pin breeders that I allude to frequently. Eadaoin's kennel name is Laetoli Miniature Pinschers. She has been kind enough to send me a little history on the subject of tails & ears in the UK. I thought it was illegal there, end of story, but . . Eadaoin reports "well that's not quite the case. In fact it is illegal there for a non-vet to dock; it is still legal if done by a vet. In Oz though it ended about 18 months ago, so you are correct there all right. (It is banned completedly in Australia) And cropping has been gone in the UK since the 1800s. The ban was brought in by King Edward VII while he was still prince of Wales (he was a son of Queen Victoria). He also abolished the royal pack of hunting hounds as he objected to hunting tame deer on his own land that had been specifically bred for the purpose! He was a real animal man; his Wire Fox Terrier Caesar was first in line in his funeral" Isn't that interesting? Thank you Eadaoin. WHAT OTHER COUNTRIES HAVE BANNED CROPPING & DOCKING? Have any countries banned tail docking? Yes, there are countries, which have banned cosmetic tail docking for a considerable number of years; Norway since 1987 and Sweden and Switzerland since 1988. Since 1991, Cyprus, Greece and Luxembourg have also introduced a ban. Tail docking has been banned in Finland since 1996 and Germany since May 1998. Political pressure was exerted in Germany to have hunting breeds exempted, however exempted puppies must be the offspring of parents that were specifically used as hunting dogs, not just hunting breeds. In spite of many claims to the contrary, there is no proof that an increase in tail injuries or serious health problems occurred as a result of the ban on tail docking in these countries. In England, since July 1993, only registered veterinarians can perform tail docking. The Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons has declared that the docking of tails, other than for therapeutic or prophylactic reasons, was unethical. The RCVS stated in 1996, that such docking is capable of amounting to conduct disgraceful in a professional respect, and described such docking as unacceptable mutilation. In Australia, one State, the Australian Capitol Territory has banned tail docking. It is hoped that other States will follow this example. I predict that eventually the U.S. will follow suit. There has been an ongoing lobby in California for some time to ban it there. It hasn't passed legislation yet, but the idea is catching on. I presently have a 3rd request for a puppy with tail intact from a California family. And after having Olivia around, literally lovingly, whipping me to death with her tail...well I don't know how mellow I am going to get, but the long tails are definitely looking cuter. I have put a link at the bottom of this page that in my opinion offers medically based facts on this issue. Please understand that I am not for or against it. I feel it is a personal decision that should be based on an informed decision which I believe this link addresses. I am against radical groups that go after our emotions rather than facts.
LUCY
PRANCELOTS I LOVE LUCY traveled all the way from TN to become part of our Min Pin family. She arrived via 18 wheeler on June 15,2004... yes I said a big truck! My brother and sister-in-law just happened to be in TN when it was time for Lucy to join us. It took them a week to get back to AZ with her but my sister-in-law didn't seem to mind and I'm thinking they took the long way around so they could enjoy her and torture me. All I had seen were pictures of this baby and couldn't hardly contain myself... Robyn is a dear friend and the kind of breeder I trust. She knew Lucy had exactly what I needed to introduce into my bloodlines. Lucy has it all. She is deepest stag red I have ever seen. (Result of conscientious breeding) Early socialization of puppies, is key to a mentally balanced adult. Good breeders take the time to do this. Robyn is that kind of breeder. Like me, her dogs are her pets first. Lucy has been bubbling over with personality since the day she arrived. She's a real people dog. Not a shy bone in her body.... which is the way a puppy should be when you get it....well socialized. As a gorgeous young adult, full of energy and mischief Lucy frequently gets herself in trouble. If the flower garden is tore up.....or one of my shoes is missing it often points at Lucy and her antics. Maybe it's my fault for naming her after the "Queen of Clowns"........ Lucy is Mamie & Thomas's Mom and I have repeated that breeding to Trucker. If the breeding took we will have some awesome pups the end of December.

STORMY
In May '06 I got an offer I couldn't refuse. To add 4 adults to "Min Pin Heaven". The breeder is Tina Monninger, a long time friend of mine. Tina got her first Min Pin from me 13 years ago. She went on to becoming a handler & breeder, showing & producing some beautiful dogs. For personal reasons she decided to stop showing. T'SEAS MI MISTIC STORM Stormy came to me extremely shy. We are working with her & she is responding to the love & attention that she gets here. She is a decendant of my senior citizen, Cricket, on her dam's side. Her sire is Ch T'Seas Mi Cookie's Real Deal and from there back are solid champions for 3 generations. Her bloodline integrated into mine will assure the quality of Min Pin puppies that I strive to produce. Stormy was bred to my black Rudy on July 19.
