INT'L CH NIZHONI'S MURPHY BROWN
MURPHY BROWN is now comfortably retired.
Murphy was out of Cricket's first litter, so became 2nd in command around here. Murphy was one of my foundation bitches. Murphy tomcollage-produced some outstanding babies and many years of Min Pin love. Her Dad was mostly Bluehen breeding.
As a 2 year old she took Reserve in Flagstaff The judge was president of the Min Pin Club...made us feel real proud!
Murphy was shown under 3 AKC Judges & received her IABKCA International Championship Certification.

Murphy's also quite a celebrity in our book. Actually she's in a book. It came about in 1997 when a freelance photographer asked my handler if she could take some photos of her dogs at an dog show in Tucson. She said sure, as long as we can get copies or negatives. She kind of kept her promise & did send one negative. We had no idea what these people do with pictures, but obviously they sell them to publishers of various things. Well, a new breed book appeared on Min Pins the following year entitled "The New Owner's Guide to Miniature Pinschers". The author is Jacqueline O'Neil. To our surprise we found Murphy pictured on page 49 sitting with her pal Dallas. There is a great picture of her litter sister, Reba on page 103.There's also a couple of photos, one a full page, of my handlers daughter with one of my little chocolate boys. This is a nicely done book, with alot of xlnt photos that represent our king of toys.
THEN to add to our joy we found this beautiful photo (shown here) of Murphy, featured not only on the cover but also for the month May in a Min Pin Calendar published by Pet Prints. When I found she was in it, I called the publisher to get a copy (well actually,I bought the 7 they had left because it was already May! Even tho' this was several years ago, I will always think of Murphy as my calendar girl! Murphy blessed us with beautiful pups, some of which I kept over the years and who have made my line what it is today.

I finished my first champion!! On the next page you'll read about Mamie. Mamie & Thomas are brother & sister named in honor of my dear friend, Mamie Van Doren & her charming husband Thomas Dixon.
Coming up with a registered name for Mamie that connected her to Mamie VanDoren via her book was pretty easy. But her hubby is just a wonderful, regular guy. Mamie's a wonderful, regular gal too, but she's a movie star, wrote a book etc. I was stumped. So I called Mamie for help! They are both animal lovers and particulary Min Pin lovers. They were tickled that I named my 2 "star prospects" after them. (It's a dog lover thing!) After discussing various name possibilities, Mamie said that Thomas's favorite movie is Blade Runner. So that's his registered name. He's a little darker and a little smaller than his sister...also, being a boy, just a love. Unlike Mamie, as he matured it was apparent that Thomas loves the show ring.
For those who understand the AKC point schedule, he has gotten all of his single points 2 to spare! As of the middle of May '08 he needed 2 Majors to finish to his Championship. Majors are harder to find. So how thrilled was I when on May 25,2008 in Pomona, Ca Thomas got a 5 pt Major!! He was Winner's Dog over 12 dogs. 5 pt Major's are few and far between. What a thrill it was for me.

I AM THRILLED TO ANNOUNCE THAT ON APRIL 3, 2009 I BRED & HANDLED THOMAS TO HIS CHAMPIONSHIP! YEAH THOMAS!!!!
Fact is that under my hand Thomas received all the points needed for that title. So for those who might say a novice handler can't compete against the professionals.....well, we proved you wrong. It may have taken a little longer than a professional handler but we did it, Thomas & I!!!

HERE COMES CHARLIE!
NIZHONI'S CITY LIGHTS. Where did THAT name come from you ask? I "look to the stars" for names alot. I never fail to enjoy those Chaplin flicks. So this puppy was named Charlie & City Lights was one of his last and best movies.Simple.
Charlie was sired by Thomas out of Chateau Acres Chelsea. What a nice puppy Charlie is. He was born 2/19/09. I entered him in Santa Rosa when he was 6 mos & 2 days old. You can't show a dog with AKC until they are 6 mos. I had no expectations. Puppies are unpredictable in the ring. Was I impressed! That little guy acted like he's been showing forever! The first 2 days he got a Reserve. So no points, but he but reserve is like runner up. For a puppy, first time in the ring I was too proud. On Saturday he received "Best Bred By Exhibitor" recognition and went on to take a Group 2 in the Bred By Toy Group.
Tucson in November my guy earned another Best of Breed & beat 4 Champions to do so. What a guy!! Can't tell you how fun showing is with a puppy like Charlie! Lord willin he will get his Championship without much delay. Competition is tough but we'll try won't we Charlie?
