The Wonderful World of the Klee Kai
FIRST AND FOREMOST, WE DO NOT SELL PUPPIES FOR CHRISTMAS OR ANY HOLIDAY PRESENTS. If we happen to have puppies at Christmas or Easter, etc. it is strictly a co-incidence and doesn't usually happen.
Please remember that matings only take place when we are striving to further the breeding of the "perfect" Klee Kai. So, not every puppy produced is eligible to be placed with someone on the waiting list. The waiting list may not include people with Klee Kai who are waiting for mates. Because it takes time to get the right mate, those folks can sometimes be on the list for years. So, rather than to confuse people, it is easier just to place the compatible mates whenever they finally appear. I will also be placing a few female pups on co-ownerships with local people. So, if you are interested in that kind of an arrangement, please contact me for details.

very interested in the Klee Kai breed and has set up a Klee Kai list. If you

I've run across a lot of pet store pages on
the web lately, and would like to point out some of the downfalls of adopting a
pet in this manner. The pet stores claim that you get a better dog because you
have a larger selection. The breeders of purebred dogs take exception to this
characterization of their venture. Just take a look at this page to make your
own intelligent decision as to the source of your next pup. Also, take a look

I'm
not saying that a Klee Kai or a Shiba Inu, or whatever breed of dog you may
choose is the best dog for you. I'm saying that we can tell you more about the
behavior of each individual dog and temperament that might be expected in an
individual puppy. We can tell you the kind of situation which may cause a
problem with your pups' development. Some dogs, such as the Klee Kai do not do
well with family strife. Most dogs who are returned to me end up being
misplaced because the family was divorcing or fighting a lot or because the
family thinks they can train the pup good enough and refuse to take it to
obedience class. Good enough, is NOT enough for a Klee Kai and probably not
enough for other breeds either. I tell everyone that it is strongly recommended
that they enter their pup in obedience classes and to be sure to socialize the
puppy extensively. If you train your pup at home, this is not proper
socialization and detrimental to the development of your pup. Not all breeds
need this, but who would know this better than a person who owns many of your
breed in their own home situation?
