You may send & receive email directly from the web using your browser and our WebMail program, or can setup your own email software to send & receive email. You may even uses both!Below we have outlined the various steps for using WebMail and for setting up Eudora Pro, Outlook Express and Netscape Messenger software to work with your PageWeb POP Email Account(s). When setup correctly you will be able to send and receive email directly from your PageWeb POP Email Account(s).
WebMail:
1) using your web browser go to: https://www.pageweb.com/cgi-bin/sqwebmail
2) simply login with the following info:
User Id: AccountName@YourDomainName.com, ie; john@xyz.com, in other words your complete email address
Password: YourPasswordThat's it! You are now ready to send and receive email via your web browser.
When ever to want to send or receive mail simply go to: https://www.pageweb.com/cgi-bin/sqwebmail and login. It's that simple.
Eudora Pro:
1) open Eudora
2) select Tools from the menu at the top.
3) select Personalities from the sub-menu
4) right mouse click in the Persona box and select New
5) using the Account Wizard, create a brand new email account with the following info:Personality Name: AccountName@YourDomainName.com, ie; john@xyz.com
Name: your name ie; John
E-mail address: AccountName@YourDomainName.com, ie; john@xyz.com
Login Name: AccountName@YourDomainName.com, ie; john@xyz.com
Incomming Server: YourDomainName.com ie; xyz.com (be sure to check the POP box)
Outgoing Server: YourDomainName.com ie; xyz.com (be sure to check the Allow authentication box)
Outlook Express:
1) open Outlook Express
2) select Tools from the menu at the top.
3) select Accounts from the sub-menu
4) select the Mail tab
5) click on the Add button and choose Mail
6) Enter the following info:Name: your name ie; John
E-mail address: AccountName@YourDomainName.com, ie; john@xyz.com
My incomming mail server is: POP3
Incomming mail server: YourDomainName.com ie; xyz.com
Out going (SMTP) mail server: YourDomainName.com ie; xyz.com
Account Name: AccountName@YourDomainName.com, ie; john@xyz.com
Netscape Messenger:
1) open Netscape Messenger
2) select Edit from the menu at the top.
3) select Preferences from the sub-menu
4) expand the Mail & News Group menu
5) Enter the following info:Identity:
Your name: your name ie; John
E-mail address: AccountName@YourDomainName.com, ie; john@xyz.comIncomming Mail Server:
Server Name: YourDomainName.com ie; xyz.com
Server Type: POP3
User Name: AccountName%YourDomainName.com, ie; john%xyz.comOutgoing Mail server:
Outgoing (SMTP) mail server: YourDomainName.com ie; xyz.com
User Name: AccountName%YourDomainName.com, ie; john%xyz.com
Special Note: If after setting up your email software correctly you find can not send mail out, then chances are good that your ISP requires that you use their mail server for all outgoing mail. In such cases you will need to setup your email software to use the settings specified by your ISP for their Out going (SMTP) mail server. This applies to the outgoing mail server setting only! All incoming mail should be setup as instructed above. You can also set the return email address of your software to that of your domain. ie; john@xyz.com
