DarbywooD is named after our first Airedale, Moraine Ragtime Princess, CD,(Darby) who started us on the exciting road of breeding and showing Airedales. Ch. Moraine Britelites 'N Promise was our foundation bitch and it is to her that all DarbywooD kids owe their beginnings. Pictured is a litter of 5 week old puppies.
CH. Darbywood's Eye Of The Tiger
"Lacey" was our first homebred champion. She totals 20 champions in her offspring making her one of the the top producing Airedale dams of all time! We are very proud of her success in the show ring as well as the whelping box. Lacey was with us for almost 14 years, always very much an active Airedale--forever a puppy! Lacey is pictured at 20 months of age when she finished her championship.
Am./Int.Ch. Darbywood's Preferred Stock
"Stockton" is the first International Champion for Darbywood. After finishing his US Championship he went to live, like the "King of Terriers" that he is, in Copenhagen, Denmark. There he went on to his International title and a Best in Show in Germany. He sired many European champions. In fact, one of his daughters from Germany was Best in Sweepstakes at the Airedale Terrier Club of America's National Specialty at Montgomery County Kennel Club in Pennslylvania. Even though Stockton is no longer with us, his legacy lives on in his many offspring in the US and Europe.
