Final Step
Uploading Your Files With
Easy-Uploader

Easy-Uploader is a seperate program which has been integrated into the AutoPage-Plus system in order to provide you with an easy convenient means for you upload files to your website.

Uploading your files to your website is the final step in creating your webpage. Throughout the Online Form you have ben asked to supply the filenames for the graphic/photos, separators, email images, etc. that you wish to use on your webpage. You were also asked to write those filenames down on a separate piece of paper. Using Easy-Uploader we will now locate those files on your local computer's harddrive and one by one upload them to the appropriate directory on your website. The directory that your files will be uploaded to is named: uploads.

Online Screen

To Upload Files To Your Website:
  • In the Your Filename box, enter the filename you wish to upload.
  • Then click the [ Browse ] button to locate the file on your computer.
  • Now click the [ Upload File ] button to upload the file.
  • Repeat the above process for all files you wish to upload.

That's it!
The creation of your webpage has been completed.

Just scroll down to the bottom of the Easy-Uploader screen and Check It Out!

Important Notes:  The system is case sensitive! It is very important that you enter the filename in the Your Filename box exactly as you wrote it down and entered it in the previous On-Line AutoPage-Plus form. Failure to do so will result in an incorrect filename in your uploads directory and thus your images not display on your webpage.

If you stuck with using the pre-selected Separators, Email Images, Background Images & Sound Files provided by AutoPage-Plus, and you used Text Links for your External Website Links then you will only need to upload your Section Photo files. However, if you choose "MY FILE" from any of the Form Selection Boxes, then you will need to upload the those files to the uploads directory on your website.

The actual time required to upload each file varies from 5 - 60 seconds or more, depending on the actual size of the file as well as the quality & speed of your internet connection.

    To delete a file:
  • Click on the red  delete  link to the far right of the filename.
  • Answer/Click On the [ Yes ] when asked if you are sure you want to delete the file.
Be careful, as there is No  Undo Command!

Now that you have some experience, use the AutoPage-Plus Menu to Create and/or Modify additional webpages on your website. Don't be afraid to experiment. You are not going to break anything. The worst that could happen is that you webpage may look a little funny. Use your imagination, be creative, and most of all

Have Fun!

Attention AOL Users:
Currently the browser AOL supplies with it's software is an older version of MS Internet Explorer. This older version of MS Internet Explorer does not support the technology used by AutoPage Plus for uploading files. The solution to this is to download and install a copy of the Netscape Communicator browser. Then use the Netscape browser with AutoPage-Plus to create your webpages & upload your files.

Here is the step by step procedure:

  • Download the freely available Standard Version of Netscape Communicator browser by clicking on the following download link:   [ Download Browser ].   The browser file is rather large so it may take upwards of 3-4 hours to complete the download.

  • Follow Netscape's installation instructions.

  • After you have the Netscape Communicator browser installed, Log-on to AOL as usual.

  • Minimize the AOL screen to an icon and then start up your Netscape browser.

  • Using the Netscape browser, log-on to the AutoPage Plus system and begin your development & upload your files.

That's all there is to it!
